Open the software you installed in Step 2
Make sure you are on the “Main” tab
Click the box next to any of the numbers to open the drop-down menu
Select either Key Combination or Macro
This is the option that you will choose the majority of the time.
If you want to map Multi-Button Hot Keys like Copy (CTRL + C) or Paste (CTRL + P) or any Single-Button Hot Keys like Delete / Backspace or any of the F keys… Then this is the option you want to choose.
It is very simple. Let’s say you want to add Copy to #1 like I have… You would type the letter C and check the box for CTRL. It should look like this:
Then hit OK and the Hot Key will be mapped to the #1 button on your ProduMouse. Rinse and repeat this process for the rest of the Hot Keys you want to add to your ProduMouse.
If you ever find yourself in a position where setting up a Key Combination / Hot Key just doesn’t cut it or doesn’t work for your use case, that’s when you’ll want to turn to creating a Macro.
To create a Macro, head over to the Macro tab in the Software.
From here, you want to click on Start Record and press the buttons you want to macro together in the order you want them to be pressed when you execute the macro.
